Influence Of Steel Ball Diameter On Grinding Steel Balls (3)

(1) Affect power consumption. When the loading of the ball is constant, the power consumption of the ball is also lower than that of the ball. This point has been studied at home and abroad, and there is a monograph that lists the power KWb that needs to be input per ton of steel balls: B is the maximum ball diameter, mm. It can be seen from formula (1) and the SS value that the input power per ton of large balls is greater than that of small balls. The author's industrial experiments have proved that after the ball diameter is reduced, the power of the mill can be reduced by 2% to 3%.
(2) Affect the size of the working noise of the mill. Due to the large energy of the big balls, the sound energy is lost when hitting each other or hitting the liner, so the noise is large. Accurate ball diameter reduces noise. Experiments show that after adjusting to the precise ball diameter, the working noise of the mill can be reduced by 3~4dB. It can be seen from the above that the size of the steel ball has a great influence on the grinding index, and the accurate selection of the size of the steel ball is of great significance.
