Walking Beam Heating Furnace, annual working 6000 hours, easy operation and high efficiency. This furnace can handle the steel rod diameter range: 60mm-100mm, max heating ability: Dia 100mm steel rod at 16.6 tons. Heating temperature is 950-1050℃.

 

Gas Heating Furnace
Gas Heating Furnace, Long time stable running, High heating uniformity. Heating Ability of furnace: 100mm ball--197 tons/day, 125mm ball--288.8 tons/day, 140mm ball--270.5 tons/day.

The Production Process of Walking Beam Heating Furnace

Loading: The workpieces to be heat-treated are loaded onto the walking beams at the furnace entrance. The beams are usually spaced at regular intervals to accommodate the length and size of the workpieces.

 

Heating: The furnace is heated to the desired temperature for the heat treatment process. Burners or other heat sources are used to provide the necessary heat energy. The workpieces are elevated and supported by the walking beams as they move through the heated zones of the furnace.

 

Reciprocating Movement: The walking beams move in a reciprocating motion, shuttling the workpieces through the furnace. This movement allows the workpieces to be evenly exposed to the desired temperature zones for the required period.

 

Cooling: After the desired heat treatment cycle is completed, the workpieces are transported out of the furnace for cooling. This cooling process may involve air cooling or water spray systems, depending on the specific heat treatment requirements.

The Components Within a Gas Heating Furnace

 

 

Radiant section
The radiant section is where the heating element is found, which is often a flame. The tubes or coils (often known as the radiant coil) in this section of the gas heating furnace are heated by the radiation from the heating element.

 

Convection section
Above the radiant section, you will find the convection section, this area cooler as it is used to recover any additional heat. Heat transfer also occurs in this section by convection. The tubes continue through to the convection section, but they are finned to increase the heat transfer.

 

The burner
The burner is located at the bottom of the gas heating furnace and fires the heating element upwards. Some furnaces do have side fired burners.

The flame is contained in the burner tile, which is made out of high temperature refractory. In order to control the shape or direction of the heating element, an air register is located below the burner.

 

The flue gas stack
Located at the top of all heat transfer chambers the flue gas stack’s primary purpose is to protect the user of the furnace by collecting the flue gas and releasing it high into the atmosphere.
The flue gas stack has a stack damper, which regulates any heat lost through the stack.

 

Insulation
Insulation is used in an gas heating furnace to reduce the amount of heat escaping the heated chamber, ensuring the required temperature can be achieved. Common materials used for insulation are ceramic fiber, firebrick, and castable refractories.
