Characteristics Of Grinding Steel Balls

Grinding Steel Balls is an important basic component of ball mill, which is widely used in cement plants, power plants, etc. High and low chromium multi-element alloy steel balls and high and low chromium multi-element alloys are cast and forged. Under some special conditions, steel balls of special materials are often required to complete the functions required in different environments. Some special steel balls have been widely used in various fields of the national economy, including high-chromium steel balls; high-chromium steel forgings; low-chromium steel balls; low-chromium steel forgings; Alloy steel ball; multi-element alloy lining plate; various wear-resistant materials. Their popularization and application have promoted the development of ball mill steel ball production.

Requirements for the diameter of the ball mill steel balls loaded into the ball mill: The output of the ball mill is not only affected by the loading of the steel balls, but also related to the diameter of the steel balls. It is required that the balls with a certain ball diameter and different ball diameters maintain a certain proportional relationship. Generally, the size range of the ball diameter in the cylinder is 25-60mm. If there are large diameter balls in the cylinder, the impact force is large, which is beneficial to crushing large lumps of coal. However, due to the large gap between the balls and the small relative surface area, the extrusion and grinding effects are weakened, which is harmful to the coal mill. The output and coal fineness are both unfavorable. There are too many small-diameter steel balls in the cylinder, and the impact force is small, which will reduce the output of the coal mill.

For example, during the operation of the coal mill, due to wear and tear, the weight and diameter of the steel balls are constantly decreasing, so it is necessary to periodically replace the new balls to maintain a certain amount of steel balls. Generally, large-diameter balls are added, and the amount of balls should be determined according to the wear rate of steel balls (the wear amount of steel balls per ton of coal milled) and the amount of coal milled. After the coal mill runs for a certain period of time, the number of small-diameter steel balls in the simplified structure increases. Therefore, generally after about 3000 hours of exercise, it is necessary to stop the steel ball to clean up the steel ball, so as to remove the ball with a diameter of less than 15mm and the broken ball, and at the same time, there is not enough new ball.
