The influence of the production method of the Grinding Media Balls on the crushing effect

Mar 05, 2021

According to research, the wear resistance of the grinding balls of the same material varies greatly due to the different production methods and control techniques. The most typical is the alumina ball. The molding methods of alumina ball include extrusion method, agglomerate method, hydraulic hard mold molding method and isostatic pressure molding method. The wear difference between isostatic pressure molding method and grouting molding method is more than ten times. The reason may be that the density and uniformity of the former is higher than that of the latter, and it can form a solid whole after sintering; in addition, the alumina raw materials used by the two are also different, and the raw material purity, particle size, powder fluidity, etc. The difference will also have a great impact on the wear resistance of the grinding media, and ultimately affect the crushing effect.
