Production Process Of Forged Grinding Media Ball
Feb 09, 2021
Forged Grinding Media Ball is a brand-new rolling steel ball technology, a brand-new technological breakthrough in ball mill production, and hot-rolled steel ball is gradually replacing cast steel ball. Today we will take a closer look at the process flow of hot-rolled steel balls. The round steel for making hot-rolled steel balls is inspected first. After the inspection is completed, the round steel cut into a certain length is cut into bars of hot-rolled steel balls according to the required length. In a continuous heating furnace, the cut bar is heated to a suitable temperature and turns red. After the bar material is fed into the steel ball rolling mill, it is rotated forward between the two rollers through the stainless steel ball using a special spiral process, and then continuously rolled into steel balls. Each ball mill can roll once per minute to produce about 60-360 steel balls; the hot-rolled steel balls after roll forming immediately enter the specially designed online heat treatment equipment for quenching-tempering heat treatment, so that the steel balls can obtain high And uniform hardness. After cooling, it can be checked for compliance. The qualified products are sent to the finished product warehouse, packaged and sent to the customer.
The hot-rolled steel ball has accurate size, smooth geometric shape, high hardness, good mechanical properties, and has excellent wear resistance, no deformation, no cracking. Its characteristics are as follows:
1. High overall hardness: surface hardness can reach 55-65HRC, volume hardness can reach 50-62HRC, uniform hardness gradient distribution;
2. High impact toughness: impact toughness is greater than 12J/cm2;
3. Low crushing rate: The anti-stripping and crushing performance is more than 10 times that of ordinary cast steel balls and forged steel balls, and the impact force of falling balls is more than 20,000 times. The actual crushing rate does not exceed 1%, and there is almost no crushing.
