The grinding body performs two functions on the material in the ball mill, namely impact and grinding. The material is mainly affected by the impact force of the grinding body at the beginning, and after a certain fineness, the material is mainly crushed by the grinding between the grinding body (or between the grinding body and the lining). The grinding body and the grinding body and the inner liner are in point contact, and it is difficult to contact by line or surface.
Therefore, as far as the grinding body is concerned, its bulk density, strength, wear, appearance, shape and surface conditions have a great influence on the efficiency of the ball mill, that is, the quality of the slurry.
In terms of bulk density, on the one hand, the greater the bulk density of the grinding body of the same volume, the greater the mass, the greater the kinetic energy, the greater the impact and grinding force on the material, and the easier it is to crush and grind the material. ; On the other hand, in the case of the same quality, the larger the volume density of the grinding body, the smaller the volume, the more the grinding body relative to the grinding body with the same loading (referring to the effective volume of the mill). At the same time, the more impacts and grinding times the grinding body has on the material.
In addition, the ball mill of the same specification, due to the high volume density of the grinding body, the grinding body with the same loading amount occupies a small effective space of the ball mill. Therefore, when the total amount of materials, steel balls, and water load account for the same proportion of the effective space of the ball mill , The total load capacity of the three has increased.
