1. Raw material preparation
Select high-quality alloy steel as raw materials.
2. Forging process
The raw materials are heated to 1000 - 1200℃, and then sent to the hot shear for cutting. The sheared workpieces are sent to the air hammer. Through forging, the internal structure of the steel becomes dense, which improves the quality of the steel ball. The steel ball blank after forging is initially formed, but it still needs further processing.
3. Heat treatment process
First, quenching is performed to cool the steel ball to a suitable temperature (such as 820-860℃ for medium carbon steel), and rapid cooling is performed to increase the hardness of the steel ball, but internal stress will be generated. Then tempering is performed at 150-250℃ to eliminate internal stress and balance hardness and toughness.
