Preparation methods and technical standards of Grinding Steel Balls
Jul 01, 2021
Grinding Steel Balls refers to the steel ball used to grind the material of the mill, which is actually a kind of grinding body. It should be said that the wear-resistant steel ball is only a kind of grinding steel ball, even the non-wear-resistant steel ball can also be called the grinding steel ball.
Preparation:
Low chromium steel ball is the most important grinding body in the ball mill, and it is called grinding steel ball abroad. Low chromium steel balls are produced by means of intermediate frequency electric furnace smelting, metal mold or sand casting, so domestic manufacturers of wear-resistant materials are often referred to as low chromium alloy casting balls.
technical standard
1. Whether the grinding steel ball is wear-resistant, the most important data is the hardness test, which can be tested with a Rockwell hardness tester. Practice shows that the service life of steel balls above HRC60 is twice that of HRC40-50.
2. Low-chromium steel balls refer to steel balls with a chromium content of ≤3.0% and a carbon content of 1.80%-3.30%. The national standards require that the hardness (HRC) of the low-chromium ball must be ≥45 degrees. If the quality of the low chromium ball is guaranteed, it is recommended to use heat treatment tempering or vibration aging treatment. If the test hardness (HRC) is lower than 40 degrees, it indicates that the low chromium ball has insufficient hardness or over-burning.
